What is MY Swing?

MY Swing is an international West Coast Swing festival in Malaysia, built around learning, social dancing and time together. Our approach connects ideas across workshop levels so the learning can carry onto the social floor. There are also competitions and performances, and you can choose how much you take part in.

When is MY Swing 2027?

We haven’t announced the dates yet. We’ll share them on Instagram and add them here once they’re confirmed. Please wait for that announcement before booking travel.

Where will it take place?

We’re looking for a new venue because Cititel is undergoing renovation. Once it’s confirmed, we’ll share the address, accommodation options and information to help you plan your visit.

Can I buy a pass yet?

Not yet. When registration opens, we’ll share the official link, prices and what each pass includes.

Can I come on my own? Do I need a partner?

Yes, you can come on your own. There’s no need to bring a dance partner. You’re equally welcome with friends or your dance community.

Is MY Swing suitable for my first WCS event?

Yes. You don’t need previous festival experience, but knowing some WCS basics will help you enjoy the classes and socials. If you’ve never tried WCS, start with local beginner classes before the festival.

Will there be a beginner programme?

We’ve offered one in past editions to help dancers settle into their first festival. It covered what to expect and how to enjoy the weekend, assuming some WCS basics. We haven’t confirmed the 2027 format yet.

Do I have to compete?

No. Come for the classes, socials and shows if that’s what you enjoy. Entering competitions is entirely up to you.

What is confirmed for MY Swing 2027?

We’re planning the 2027 edition. Dates, venue, programme and pass details are still to be announced. Our 2027 blueprint explains what we’re working towards while those details come together.
