What you learn starts to shape the weekend.
An idea can begin in class, come up again over dinner and find its way into a dance that night. We build MY Swing around those connections, with learning at the centre and time to discover what it means with other people.
01 / LEARNING
Different classes. Something in common.
You and your next partner may have spent the day in different workshops. Shared themes give you something to explore together, with enough depth for each dancer to find a useful challenge.
In 2026, our teachers worked across six workshop levels. Classes and intensives explored body language, partnering, blues and musicality, connecting the learning to the dancing beyond each room.
That shared direction leaves room for different teachers and different dancers. We want an idea to become something you can listen for, respond to and make your own with a partner.
The 2027 teaching team, workshop levels and participation guidance will be published when confirmed.

03 / MALAYSIAN HOSPITALITY
Get to know the people between the dances.
A conversation over food gives you a different way to get to know someone. You can return to an idea from class, ask about their community or find out what brought them to Malaysia.
We want those parts of the weekend to be easy to enjoy too. Once the new venue is confirmed, we’ll share nearby food, accommodation and transport information to help you find your way.
Come with friends or on your own. There is room to seek out company and room to take a little time for yourself.
MORE TO ENJOY
A moment the whole room shares.
A musical surprise, an inventive partnership, a friend taking the floor. Shows and competitions give everyone something to watch, respond to and talk about afterwards.
Watch, cheer or enter when the published divisions and requirements suit you. Competing is optional.

The Community Leader Conference begins with the things people are finding difficult at home: helping beginners return, developing teachers and DJs, or sharing the work of running a community.

02 / SOCIAL-DANCE QUALITY
The feeling behind “one more song”.
Sometimes it’s the next track that keeps you on the floor. Sometimes it’s a partner who listens so well that the dance feels easy to settle into.
We care about both. Shared learning and clear expectations around comfort support the way we dance together. Behind the music, we appoint our head DJ about a year ahead and spend months listening to DJs, getting to know their strengths and thinking about how their sets fit through the night.
In 2026, the music carried on until 6am. You can stay for those last songs or enjoy an earlier part of the night. We want the time you spend on the floor to feel worth being there for.
The 2027 DJs and social schedule will be announced with the programme.
